Mesa attorneys with the Stewart Law Group offer experienced legal representation to clients needing assistance with:

Mesa Criminal Defense |
Are you facing criminal charges? Are you living in an increasingly hostile marriage and want a divorce? What if your spouse was diagnosed with a serious illness and your future together is uncertain? You need to take action. Meet with an experienced attorney near you – a legal professional you can trust with these important personal matters. Someone who cares about you and your future. Who sincerely desires the best possible outcome for you and will work diligently toward that objective.
It is human nature to avoid legal matters until they become tangible problems that cannot be disregarded any longer. A once resolvable concern like planning a Will can develop into a legal crisis requiring urgent attention. Another case in point? Driving in the Friday night pub-crawl after a concert at the Mesa Amphitheatre and being arrested for driving under the influence. When something bad like that happens, the best way to mitigate potential consequences is to consult a qualified criminal defense attorney near you right away.
When you need top-notch family attorney representation in your divorce or child custody case, call us. When you or someone you care about has been charged with a crime, talk to us. When you need to prepare for the future with an estate plan, consult us. Here at Stewart Law Group, our Mesa legal team goes the extra mile for every client to provide extraordinary legal representation.
Our family lawyers represent clients in the full range of domestic relations cases, from uncontested divorces to high conflict child custody cases. Particularly, we have the resources and top-notch talent to handle complex divisions of property in divorce. Including cases with extensive assets and overseas financial investments, as well as domestic business interests and professional practices. We want to ensure you’re getting the best representation for your case -whether that is here at Stewart Law Group or elsewhere, we are committed to helping you find the perfect match for your needs.
If you have children, understand that every parent worries about the outcome of child custody proceedings in the divorce, legal separation, or annulment:
There are many legal issues to think over, especially in a divorce with children. And since divorce proceedings can be quite a lengthy process lasting anywhere from a few months to a few years depending on whether the divorce is contested or not, it is important to understand that good decisions are easier to make with a balanced mindset, an understanding of the legal issues to be addressed, and an experienced divorce attorney well versed in family law to guide you all the way through the divorce proceedings.
As caring legal professionals, we believe our job description should include helping clients overcome legal challenges in a positive, healthful way. We want our clients and their children to be in the best position possible to move forward productively and happily with their lives.
At the Stewart Law Group, we emphasize creative legal solutions that protect our clients’ rights while resolving all outstanding issues as favorably as possible. If there is a trial, then we are prepared to litigate vigorously. We give our absolute all for our Mesa clients. Lastly, we can request an appeal of the trial court’s final judgment. Our attorneys also have appellate court experience, including persuasive oral argument and brief-writing.
Occasionally, a client worries about the court with jurisdiction over the case. This is especially so with criminal charges. Put your fears aside. Divorce and family law cases are only filed in Arizona’s Superior Court. Whatever the legal matter at hand, civil or criminal, we are very familiar with all of the courthouses in Maricopa County because our six main office locations are here and in Phoenix and surrounding communities.
In addition to lawsuits heard in the Maricopa Superior Court and appeals in the Arizona Court of Appeals, each of our attorneys has logged ample hours advocating for clients in the Mesa Municipal Court system.
The Mesa Municipal Court has jurisdiction over certain matters arising within the city limits, such as traffic offenses. The same client could have a case pending in Mesa Municipal Court, another case pending in Superior Court, and another small claims case pending in Justice Court (in rural areas). We carry out our professional responsibilities in every courthouse, before every judge assigned, and never skip a beat.
More specific to our attorneys’ routine family law, criminal defense, and estate planning practice, the Mesa Municipal Court may issue an order of protection, injunction against harassment, or workplace injunction. Each order could arise in a case where we represent a party and there is the potential for domestic violence, stalking, or other safety concerns. (Police can arrest a defendant for violating a protective order.)
When the charge is a felony (for example, felony DUI with a child under the age of 14 in the vehicle), the case must be heard in the Superior Court of Maricopa County, not Mesa’s city court.
How do you know you’re getting the best care and representation? We know that every legal matter raises unique concerns and requires tailored solutions. In defending a client charged with possession of drugs with intent to sell, for instance, our defense attorney will investigate the events leading up to and following the stop by law enforcement.
Estate planning requires a very thorough assessment of the client’s circumstances, finances, and goals, both short-term and long-term. One estate plan does not fit all! The client with a professional practice or small business in Mesa may want to prepare a business succession plan or living trust. This would be a formal plan providing a means for the family to continue operating the business after the principal retires or passes away.
When we agree to represent you, your attorney will take time to carefully analyze all related legal concerns. In a family law case, for example, we may offer recommendations for divorce counseling, independent child custody evaluators, private investigators, mediators, and more. Rest assured, we will help you navigate every challenge posed by the upcoming civil, probate, or criminal proceedings.
Whatever your circumstances, we understand how important the outcome of the case is for your future. You can trust every member of our dedicated legal team to fight aggressively to protect your rights, and to work diligently to obtain the best possible outcome in the case. No law firm can guarantee specific results, but we always promise to provide our clients with the best legal representation we possibly can.
The Stewart Law Group represents those who live or work in Mesa, Maricopa County, and nearby Arizona communities. To arrange a confidential consultation with an attorney at our conveniently-located Mesa office on North Power Rd just south of Red Mountain Ranch Country Club, call (480) 491-0109. When easier for you, just email your question to info@arizonalawgroup.com and we will get back to you right away. You can put your trust in the Stewart Law Group.
