Owen Gardner

Paralegal

Having worked at Family Court for many years, paralegal Owen Gardner understands the complex emotional nature of family law cases. He has years of experience helping people “keep their eyes on the prize” while negotiating the court system. Owen has a BS in Justice Studies from ASU and was on the Dean’s List his senior year. He’s known for his attention to detail, problem solving abilities, communication skills, and all-around niceness.

For over a decade, Owen worked in Maricopa County Superior Court holding several Family Court positions including IV-D child support and customer service supervisor. He worked in the Self-Service Center/Law Library/Protective Order Center. And he ran the night and Saturday Family Court program when it was operational, working directly with multiple judicial officers. He received the Arizona Family Support Council’s “2013 Clerk of the Year” award.

Owen is a positive force who tries not to take himself too seriously. Maybe it was his time at Family Court. Maybe it was his 20 years in customer service at a Scottsdale resort. Or maybe it’s because he’s “landlord and #1 maintenance guy” at the rental property he owns. No matter how you slice it, Owen handles stressful situations with creativity, open communication, and grace.

A big ASU sports fan and avid hiker, Owen spends most weekends attending his kids’ baseball and softball tournaments. “Rewarding and fun,” he says, “but could be contributing to my receding hairline.”

A former Marylander, Owen’s absolute favorite food is Chesapeake Bay blue crab. “I love eating all the creatures of the sea,” he laughs. He’s watched every episode of every show by celebrity chef and world traveler Anthony Bourdain. Just to mix it up a bit, Owen also enjoys watching outdoor survival shows. He’s on a quest for knowledge and food!
