My case wasn’t simple, but Brian did a great job of communicating with opposing counsel and updating me regularly. My case took a little under a year and a half to finalize but I was able to get everything I wanted. Brian really listened to me, educated me on the process and made all of the legal jargon less intimidating. In the end, we were able to settle out of court but he and his incredible team (Vanessa) were ready to go to court had the negotiations not gone as planned. I am so impressed with Brian that I feel that it would be a disservice if I didn’t share with everyone who would listen how great my experience was. I had initially contacted Brian Winter to file for a divorce in January of 2016. In early 2017 I was having a living trust put together by another law firm specializing in trusts. During that work the trust attorney told me I needed to get a financial situation with my ex-wife finalized before the living trust could be completed. I cannot give Kareen O’Brien and her team enough accolades to do them justice. Melissa is pragmatic, responsive, smart and efficient, and I do not hesitate in giving my 5 star rating for the way she handled my divorce. It’s no secret that legal advice is a really expensive commodity, and I was pleased that Melissa used it wisely. Her objective seemed to be the best result for me, as opposed to just billing hours. This was in stark contrast to my first attorney, who kept reminding me how reasonable her rate was, but seemingly planned to bill me forever. One task in particular was done by Melissa in around an hour, where my prior attorney had billed me for 5 hours for the same task.
