Meet Our Staff
Amanda Steinbacher, Office Manager
Amanda’s academic credentials are enough to make most anyone a bit envious. She’s a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and has a Master’s degree in Sociology/Criminology from Northern Illinois University. That’s after having graduated summa cum laude from Illinois State with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Elgin Community College.View Profile
Amanda’s master’s thesis was on the process in which small groups socialize around the common use of marijuana. It was a year-long process of research, field study, sleepless nights, rough draft after rough draft, institutional board review approval, and a near loss of sanity. As a result, however, she created her own niche in the world of Sociology and published the thesis with ProQuest.
Lauren Kolb, Legal Assistant
Lauren has a special empathy for the homeless, whether it’s making 100 peanut butter sandwiches to hand out or donating water and supplies to shelters. She also walks every year for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Out of the Darkness Walk.View Profile
Lauren is an adventurer at heart with a willingness to try most anything new. She and her husband have taken a hot air balloon ride, kayaked on Canyon Lake, and hiked the red rocks of Sedona. She’s even a bit adventurous when it comes to food – she’ll eat any food with green chilies and, for that reason, Mexican food is her favorite.
Ruthie Bowman, Paralegal
Ruthie met James Garner and Mel Gibson while they were shooting “Maverick” near Lake Powell. Who knew that helping her mother out in a local restaurant at night would bring such perks?View Profile
People say that Ruthie is “energetic, outgoing, charismatic, and always upbeat,” but it isn’t just her energy that’s an asset around the office. She’s also resourceful, detail-oriented, and thorough, and our clients say she’s patient and compassionate. Can you see why we hired her?
Sondra Kirtley, Paralegal
Sondra has led an exciting life. Not only did she once spend an afternoon at the Playboy Mansion in Holmby Hills, California, but she also had dinner with “Superman” Christopher Reeve at the Palm Restaurant in Beverly Hills in 1988. In the ‘80s, she often had social functions at her home that were attended by members of the Los Angeles Rams.View Profile
Today, Sondra is a proud paralegal with our firm. She graduated from Orange County Business College where she received her certificate in Paralegal Studies. She went on to graduate with highest honors from Cerritos College, a major in General Studies and a minor in Paralegal Studies and Family Law. She had a 3.90 GPA and would have had a 4.0 if it weren’t for that “darn Analytical Geometry class,” as she calls it.
Lisa Laub, Office Accountant
Lisa is a bit of a self-professed geek (well, more than a bit, she admits), and her finest accomplishment in life has been raising a wonderful daughter.View Profile
Attending the University of Colorado-Boulder and Metropolitan State College in Denver, Lisa is a Certified Legal Manager through the Association of Legal Administrators. She started out with the intention of becoming a paralegal, but when she got a job at a law firm performing accounting duties, she knew she’d found her niche. Her second law firm was so impressed with her that when the Controller left the firm, they hired Lisa immediately as the replacement.
Megan Rivera, Client Coordinator
Megan considers herself an avid sports fan spending multiple days each week watching, playing, or talking about anything sports related. Whenever there’s a pro game on TV, you can bet Megan and her group of friends will be watching it on a big screen somewhere. If she had to choose however, Megan’s favorite sport is baseball, and she might debate you about why Mike Trout is the best player in the game. She has even worked with professional sports teams, which allowed her to attend cool events like ESPN parties and the Direct TV fest during the Super bowl in Arizona.View Profile
Amy Marschel, Marketing Director
Amy is accomplished in so many ways. Her Bachelor of Science degree is in Special Education K-12, but she is also a Dyslexia Specialist. She really enjoyed her years at University of Missouri-Columbia where she graduated magna cum laude. Amy owned and operated her own tutoring center for 13 years and was selected to be the motivational speaker for the East Valley Women’s League.View Profile
