Janice M. Palmer founded her own Chandler, Arizona, family law firm back in 1989: The Law Offices of Janice M. Palmer. Janice has retired from the active practice of law and is confidently referring all of her cases to Stewart Law Group. Knowing the individuals she has represented over the years are in good hands, after 35 years in law practice Janice is enjoying a well-deserved life “off-the-clock” with her children and grandchildren.
Janice cultivated a solid reputation for providing candid advice while focusing her clients on positive solution-oriented representation. She is known to have been a skilled negotiator and tough litigator for those she represented, characteristics shared by the family law attorneys with Stewart Law Group.
Born in northern Colorado, Janice’s family moved to Arizona in 1971. She graduated summa cum laude from ASU (1979) and obtained her JD from ASU School of Law (1983).
Having joined the State Bar of Arizona in 1983, Janice was admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona the same year. She is also a member of the Maricopa County Bar Association.
In her law practice, Janice represented clients in all manner of domestic relations proceedings: Divorce, child support, spousal maintenance, child custody, paternity establishment, post-decree modifications, support enforcement proceedings, grandparent visitation, adoption, family law appeals, mediation, and more.
To facilitate settlement as a private and court-appointed mediator, Janice obtained Advanced Communications Skills training through NLP and mediation training through the American Arbitration Association. Over the years, she has served as Judge Pro Tem and Special Master to the court, primarily assisting in settlement and complex property divisions in divorce cases.
